DrinkMe - fill up on energy like never before!

Austria's energy drink producer DrinkMe promises just that with this new scene beverage. It's available now at kiosks, grocery stores and scene places to go.
With their idea of having DrinkMe products served on a tray by a culty waiter, the creatives at rdts AG scored a direct hit on the entrepreneurs' taste.

ServiceQualiteit.lu:
The Grand Dutchy of Luxembourg is looking to improve its quality of service in tourism.

Visiting tourists are expecting more for their money nowadays, and only enthused tourists carry the keys to lasting success. This insight is what led to the Dutchy's just-launched initiative called "ServiceQualiteit Letzebuerg".
The Trier-based Europäisches Tourismus Institut (ETI) commissioned rdts AG for the overall market development scope - from logo to leaflet to trilingual Website.

NADFC consumer survey:
Rhineland-Palatinate has Germany's best cycling portal.

Once again, Rhineland-Palatinate came out ahead in a comparison of cycling-excursion regions.
According to the latest consumer survey conducted by the German cycling association Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club (ADFC), the Rhineland-Palatine website www.radwanderland.de earned the mark "very good" in comparison with those of other German states.
When the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate called for tenders on the design of its "radwanderland.de" cycling portal last year, rdts AG won the contract as implementing agency and technology partner – and ADFC is more than satisfied with the results.

New intranet for power utility SWT

In-house networks based on Internet technology are coming into widespread use. SWT's intranet has been developing at a fast pace in recent years, too. When it came to choosing suitable software, the company banked on their positive experience with the "Editor's Office" Content Management System by rdts AG. They've been using the program quite successfully for over a year now to maintain their Website. Logically, then, they decided to fall back on rdts AG's expertise for designing an intranet. The exact requirements were established by way of moderated workshops.
The use of XML provides a high degree of future-proofness and guarantees uncomplicated integration into other systems and applications.

Much-used business portal: saarlorlux.biz
A mere three months after its enablement, the new business portal

www.saarlorlux.biz is registering an encouringly high level of demand. The Saarland Chambers of Industry and Commerce report that both the number of users and the frequency of inquiries by companies interested in having their profiles added are at high levels.
In the first month alone (April), 6,534 visitors were registered. That figure climbed to 7,650 in May and to 9,379 in June (with more than 206,000 clicks).

www.region-trier.de: restart following "fusion"

The local savings & loan bank Sparkasse Trier and Initiative Region Trier (IRT) have joined forces to present a shared portal with the Web address
www.region-trier.de.
Sparkasse Trier is already well-known for its operation of a successful "marketplace" site for the Greater Trier Area (Marktplatz Region Trier), and IRT has also been operating, since 2001, an equally successful Website full of cultural and commercial information. Those two competences have now been united.
In implementing the portal application with Editor's Office, rdts AG's primary aim was to ensure uncomplicated, straightforward management of the editorial content and of the sophisticated advertising banners.
The bank + initiative consortium found rdts AG's concept and services spectrum very convincing.

Five years old "More value for @ll - an Internet without barriers"

Ulrike Baumann, Matthias Spartz (Club Aktiv e. V.), Thomas Stiren
(rdts AG) and Dr. Harald Weber (ITA)
"More value for @ll" has something special to celebrate. It has been five years since the countrywide initiative was jointly launched by Club Aktiv e.V. and Institut für Technologie und Arbeit (ITA) at the University of Kaiserslautern.
Every year since 2003, a like-titled symposium has been held under the patronage of Malu Dreyer, Rhineland-Palatinate's social welfare minister. Within that short span of time, "More value for @ll" has become established as Germany's top event devoted to the promotion of a barrier-free Internet.

blaumann: Join us if you're good

That, figuratively, is the motto of the blaumann temporary employment agency in Trier and Tholey. Good companies need good employees, and blaumann, with more than 350 satisfied operatives, is the place to go in the region for solutions to personnel shortage problems.
The company's new Website is target-group-oriented and geared to providing inquiring entrepreneurs, applicants and members with all the important information they need about temporary employment. For General Manager Eva-Maria Hallfell, though, it was equally important that the new Website be adequately interactive.
Job hunters can apply online and keep abreast of vacancies, which are updated on a daily basis.

SaarLorLux.biz business portal soon online

Looking for a Lorraine-based supplier or a partner company for a local construction competition? Maybe you would like to establish a local presence in Luxembourg? From now on, you can find the solution to any such quest - in three languages - at the new Saar-Lor-Lux-Trier-Western Palatinate business portal - or, for short: "SaarLorLux.biz".
The project was initiated and sponsored as a joint effort by the Chambers of
Industry and Commerce in Metz, Ludwigshafen/Kaiserslautern, Saarbrücken,
Trier and Luxembourg.
This kind of business portal is new to the region, where until now everything had to be looked up in national databases or local-language classified directories.
The new portal's key elements are its "Entrepreneurial Database Vector" and "SaarLorLux Business Atlas" modules. The entrepreneurial database unites the profiles and web links of more than 7,000 industrial enterprises and 1,800 large commercial enterprises. Here, companies can seek out the right supplier for the right product and/or survey the retailer population at any given location. To make it particularly user-friendly, the portal draws on the "Geographic Information System" (GIS) that was made familiar by Internet route planners and navigation units: Along with a conventional index search according to branches or products, seekers can do a "vicinity search" here. As a typical example, one might be looking for major clothing stores within a radius of 50 kilometers - even if the center point of the radius is located right beside a national border.

Hence, this portal helps make the supraregion more well-known to people in the rest of Germany and France. Simultaneously, it works to promote economic coalescence of the Saar-Lor-Lux-Trier-Western Palatinate region.
When the tenders were opened, the jury was convinced by rdts AG's offer to accept responsibility for a complete solution including full design and programming - as well as the generation of such classical advertising media as flyers and rollups.

Shop, stroll and enjoy at www.treffpunkt-trier.de

Trier's retailers cordially invite Internet users to discover their city and its attractive shops & stores. The oldest city in Germany offers fun shopping for the whole family in the way of exclusive
fashions, sports clothes, precious jewelry, out-of-the-ordinary accessoires, exquisite beauty products, original souvenirs and sundry gift articles. City-Initiative Trier's convincing new Internet
presentation gives interested users all the information they need for shopping and relaxing in Germany's senior city. What's on the agenda in Trier? Which parkade still has some unoccupied
slots? What would interest me as a tourist? And what does the retail landscape look like?
One of the special services being offered at this site will be a virtual shopping list for jotting down the must-see addresses according to the motto:
Be prepared!
A link to a city map shows exactly where each such address is located, and picture galleries showing numerous shops provide sales-promoting close-up peeks.
Responding to the Initiative's call for tenders, rdts AG submitted both the best graphic concept and the best price-performance ratio. Thanks to a content management system, the City-Initiative
will have no trouble keeping all the contents up to date.

Animation for the ZDF-WISO monthly CD

The business editors at German National Public TV Broadcaster ZDF have called upon rdts AG to design and program all the charts and animations for their monthly WISO CD.
Considering the constantly changing contents, rdts and the editors in Mainz came up with a corporate design with which to depict all the graphic elements on the CD.
Beginning with the January edition, all graphics will stem from rdts. For example, interested users will find information on the various bodies of the European Union: the first contribution
to an animated series about Germany's presidency of the European Council.
In supplementation of the TV broadcast, WISO-CD users have access to monthly in-depth information regarding the subject matter of current broadcasts. In addition to tips and info, the
editors always see to it that the CD includes useful addresses, processors, checklists and specimen letters - always with emphasis on general information and legal matters of interest
to consumers.

Schloss Wachenheim wins Rhineland-Palatinate's "Website Award"

v. l.: Mariam Akef (rdts AG) and Michael Galambos
(Schloss Wachenheim AG)
The home page of Sektkellerei Schloss Wachenheim AG has just been honored with the "Rhineland-Palatinate Website Award" in the category "Best Company Presentation". During a
ceremony held at the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Economics, State Secretary Prof. Dr. Englert presented the renowned design prize to Michael Galambos from the Wachenheim
marketing department. In his address, Dr. Englert emphasized how important it has become to have a home page: "For any modern small or medium-size business nowadays, Internet
presence is the calling card and an important factor for entrepreneurial success."
Some 300 Rhineland-Palatine companies had been nominated for the coveted trophy. The Website award is the prize offered by the biggest of all New Media design competitions in
Rhineland-Palatinate, and it is regarded as a quality seal for outstanding Internet appearances. It is presented once a year by the e-commerce cluster KLICK Kompetenzzentrum für
elektronischen Geschäftsverkehr.
At Schloss Wachenheim, the high art of producing sparkling wine has been cultivated since 1888, and the company's high-quality sparkling specialties are convincing to even the most
fastidious epicure. In the heartland of Germany's sun-coddled Palatinate, regional Riesling base wines are put through the same bottle fermentation process as that used to make
champagne (methodé champagnoise). As the state-level winner, Schloss Wachenheim is now automatically qualified for the upcoming countrywide competition, which will culminate
at the CeBIT in Hanover on March 16.

rdts AG has earned the title "2006 Promoter of Culture"

Hans-Herrmann Kocks, Horst Schreiber, Dr. Peter Späth,

Hans-Herrmann Kocks, as president of the Trier Cultural Foundation, bestowed on rdts AG the title "2006 Promoter of Culture" at the first-ever promoters' day in the Council Chamber
of the City of Trier. Kocks presented the promoter's plaque to rdts CEO Thomas Stiren before an audience of cultural, economic and political representatives: "By helping to advance
the cause of the Trier Cultural Foundation, you have accepted social responsibility and are sustainably contributing toward the preservation and expansion of Trier's plethoric cultural
landscape." At the same ceremony, a number of other individuals, associations, institutions and enterprises also were lauded for their honorary services. The foundation's goal is to
promote initiatives and programs with a capacity for permanently preserving and broadening the cul-tural heritage of the City of Trier.

Saarland Chambers of Industry and Commerce launch new Web site:
Getting there faster with fewer clicks

The Saarland Chambers of Industry and Commerce began providing voluminous amounts of information via the Internet in 1998. Since then, the average number of visitors per month
has doubled to 35,000, and the range of information provided by the chambers has expanded from roughly 100 pages to more than 2,000 - plus numerous attached documents and
more than a thousand stock-exchange and company-database entries.
Now, rdts AG, which has been serving and supporting the Chambers almost from the very start in all Internet-related matters, has been commissioned to further develop the existing
Web site's design.
One of the main concerns was to make the site even more customer- and service-oriented than it already was by reducing the number of clicks needed to arrive at a given destination.
The resultant multi-story menu tree lets the viewer quickly survey the entire contents at a glance.
Another little goody that has been added is an index containing only articles that have been hand-picked by Chamber staff. The new index therefore serves as a genuine alternative to
the rather imprecise practice of full-text searching. The indexing system has been rounded out with an option enabling perusal of the Chambers' entire program on a target-group basis.
Thus, the traditional subject-related approach to primary navigation has now been complemented with a completely new manner of accessing Internet contents.
As always, rdts AG attached special importance to making the site both attractive and thoroughly professional. The color climate of the new home page presents itself in the Chambers'
"official colors" and features straightforward user guidance.
The Saarland Chambers of Industry and Commerce are a joint service provider for more than 42,000 enterprises with some 300,000 employees throughout Saarland. They regard
themselves as a critical partner of policymakers and an independent advocate of free market practice and competition. Their chief goal is to provide competent, friendly advice, guidance
and sundry services.

The best Web sites in Rhineland-Palatinate:
rdts AG clients take two prizes

from left: Thomas Stiren with the MWH executive team -
Hans-Peter Hau, Walter Metzdorf and Manfred Weich.
At the 2006 KLICK-prize awards ceremony, not one but two rdts-designed Web sites took top honors. With a total endowment of 9,000 Euros, the KLICK competition awards prizes to
Rhineland-Palatine enterprises with the best Web sites - and it has reaped banner resonance all over the state.
In the category "Best Entrepreneurial Presentation in the Trier Region", the joint tax consultancy practice MWH-Steuerberatersozietät took first prize for its home page, i.e., for its brilliant
design and lucid user guidance.
The jury also saluted the special measure of authenticity imparted by the site's attractive pictorial editing.
A corresponding award for the best entrepreneurial presentation in the Palatine Region went to the home page of Sektkellerei Schloss Wachenheim AG.
In this case, the jurors found the overall design to be very attractive and masterly crafted. They also lavished praise on the site's extensive background information and great multimedia
presentation. Last year, two other rdts clients also walked off with a KLICK award for outstanding Internet presentations.
The KLICK competence center established by the German Federal Government in 1997 helps small and medium-size enterprises in Rhineland-Palatinate introduce and establish
e-commerce solutions. It works to serve as a central point of contact for small and medium-size enterprises in connection with anything that has to do with e-commerce.
